Discover the art of pen and ink in this engaging three-session course designed for beginners! Back by popular demand, instructor Joe Citterbart will guide you through the essential techniques and creative processes needed to build confidence and create your own finished artwork.

Session 1: Foundations of Pen & Ink
Start with the fundamentals as you learn the building blocks of pen and ink drawing, including line control, value, gradients, and texture. These core techniques will help you develop a strong foundation and gain confidence working with this versatile medium.

Session 2: From Observation to Illustration
Take your skills to the next level by learning how to simplify complex subjects into basic shapes and forms. Explore techniques for creating depth and dimension through highlights, shadows, and grayscale rendering, bringing your drawings to life on the page.

Session 3: Create Your Final Project
Put everything you've learned into practice as you complete a finished piece of your own. Choose between creating a four-panel comic strip or a detailed still life, showcasing the techniques and skills developed throughout the course.

Whether you're picking up a pen for the first time or looking to strengthen your drawing skills, this class offers a welcoming and rewarding introduction to the world of pen and ink.

All materials will be provided however the ink might stain so please dress appropriately.
