Sussex County Arts &   Heritage Council

2023 Regrant Recipients 

Sussex County is fortunate to have a number of engaging and enthusiastic art, cultural, and heritage non-profit organizations in addition to helping individuals in social programs such as SCARC. These county organizations rely on financial support from the Arts and Heritage Council. SCAHC is able to help support these groups by securing grants from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the New Jersey Historical Commission, and in turn, distributes these grant funds to the individual art and history organizations.

The organizations supported by the 2023 Regrant Program are listed below.


Community Choral Society

Provides members and the community in general with concert choral music.

Harmony in Motion 

A woman’s a capella chorus that performs throughout Sussex County.

A full symphony that performs symphonic music from masters of past centuries and composers of the present day.

Sussex Oratorio Society

Sparta Historical Society, Inc. preserves our local arts, history and natural sciences while presenting their wonder to the community through diverse museum exhibits and educational programs.

Funding of the Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council has been made available in part by the NJ State Council on the Arts, a division of the NJ Department of State and a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, through the State/County Partnership Block Grant Program, as administered by the Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council. Additional funding has been made available in part by the New Jersey Historical Commission through the County History Partnership Program, as administered by the Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council. Partial funding provided by the Sussex County Board of Commissioners.
